Genuine Binzel 2% Thoriated TIG Tungsten Electrode – Red Tips

Our electrodes are bought in packs of 10 but we sell per piece.

One of the most common tungsten electrode types for TIG welding in DC for mild steel and stainless steel. This electrode has been used for many years as ‘ye old faithful’ but as Thorium is radioactive and the regulations on transport of radioactive materials become tighter Binzel have developed an alternative.Noz-Alls The alternative not only lasts longer being able to withstand higher amperage it also offers an extremely stable arc and is also slightly cheaper than the red tipped tungsten.

So if you are open to change then it is recommended that you switch to the E3 product (in the related products below) to save money, improve your weld and take advantage of this new electrode type.

These Tungsten Electrodes are produced by Binzel and are only ever of top quality that ultimately results in saving you money in the longer term.

2% Thoriated tungsten electrodes are available in a large range of sizes from 0.8mm right through to 6.4mm.

Please remember if buying a pack of 10 to add 10 pieces to your basket. When buying full packs we will ship our with the packaging they come in. If there is less being bought we will pop them in a zip-lock bag and tape them to some sturdy card.
